Honestly, I can't come up with 15 tips but the title was predesigned by Wix so I'm going to go with it.
Last August, my fifteen-year-old daughter, who has participated in NaNoWriMo several times, plugged me in to Scrivener. Since then, my writing output has increased considerably. It works for me. I can organize my notes, outlines, and setting and character sketches an easy click away from my individual chapters.
I think that the best feature so far though, is the Projects tab. This feature allows you to set project targets like final word count of your manuscript and also your session target for the day. Then a satisfying little bar appears on top of your manuscript showing you how close (or far away) you are to your goal. The Statistics compiles details such total words, paragraphs, and sentences, well as paperback pages and estimated reading time.
Well, that's my tip. If you're stuck, maybe find a software for writers that helps you manage your documents, notes, research, and pictures with features like a corkboard and virtual index cards. Happy writing!
Oh, and eat some chocolate, get those serotonin and dopamine levels up!
